The Client Brief
The owners wanted a contemporary home with mid-century bones – clean lines, warm materials – that would also run efficiently for decades. Sustainability was not a feature to be added at the end; it had to shape the fabric of the house.
Our Solution
Deep eaves and cross-ventilation do the cooling work before the air conditioning is asked to. Rooftop solar and battery storage carry the household through the evening peak, and one integrated system runs lighting, climate, security and entertainment. Spotted gum floors and reconstituted stone give the interior warmth against the pale cladding.
