The Client Brief
The owners wanted the optimism of Palm Springs and the texture of Spanish Revival, in a Brisbane climate that suits both. The home had to be playful without becoming a theme, and practical enough for a family to actually live in.

Our Solution
Rich materiality carries the idea – travertine-look porcelain underfoot, engineered oak, and planting worked through the plan rather than added around it. A long alfresco runs the length of the living areas to the pool and pool house, so the house is used outward, and an upstairs lounge gives the family separation when they want it.

Behind the Build
Designed in collaboration with Jazz Designs and Merge Interior Design, The Mesa was brought to life by O’Shea & Sons’ trusted network of craftspeople. Local artist created custom pieces for the home, while carefully selected materials brought texture and depth to every surface.
This home exemplifies O’Shea & Sons’ ability to deliver a fully styled walk-in day experience, where every detail feels complete from the moment you step inside.
