The Client Brief

A steep, narrow riverbank site and a minimalist brief. The owners wanted restraint, and a home that gave the river the last word – every square metre had to justify itself.

Our Solution

The build is as much engineering as architecture: the house holds the slope and steps down towards the water, with landscape by LARC Collective knitting structure and site together. Premium stone and custom joinery carry the detail, so the restraint reads as considered rather than sparse.

Behind the Build

Designed by The Artificial, with landscape architecture by LARC Collective, Toby’s House demonstrates how architecture and landscape can harmonise on a challenging site.

With premium stone and custom joinery solutions, this home reflects the strength of O’Shea & Sons’ collaborative approach to complex builds.

Designed Around the Way They Live

Toby’s House is a true riverside retreat, a refined, minimalist space where luxury is found in detail, materiality, and the connection between structure and landscape. Built to stand timelessly, it’s as much a sanctuary as it is a valuable investment.
