Project Snapshot
Akari is a contemporary family home designed around calm, connection and wellbeing. Inspired by Japandi principles, its restrained architecture brings together natural warmth, soft curves and highly considered functionality – a home that feels peaceful without sacrificing personality.
From the outset, the vision was more than a visually resolved residence. Every space needed to contribute meaningfully to the way the home would be lived in: family life, entertaining, retreat and everyday wellbeing within one cohesive design.

Soft Curves, Considered Materials
Curved architectural elements soften the home’s form and establish a sense of movement through the interiors. Rather than relying on overt statements, the material palette creates interest through texture, proportion and finely executed detailing – anchored by a feature wood fireplace that gives the principal living space its natural gathering point.

The Social Heart
The kitchen was conceived as both workspace and meeting place. A combined butler’s pantry and wine room supports it from behind the scenes, keeping the main kitchen’s architectural lines clean and uninterrupted.
Entertaining continues outdoors, where a teppanyaki grill, swimming pool and integrated spa extend the home’s social heart into the garden.
Wellness, Built In
Wellness was treated as essential rather than added luxury. A dedicated wellness space brings together a sauna, ice bath, shower and exercise area, connecting directly to the pool and spa – a private retreat woven into the routines of everyday family life.

Behind the Build
Behind Akari’s apparent simplicity lies a high level of construction detail and technical coordination. Curved forms, integrated automation, solar power and future-ready systems demanded careful planning across every trade to preserve the clarity of the architecture – and to make sure the home’s performance matches the quality of its finish. Five generous bedrooms and multiple living areas let the home adapt naturally to every stage of family life.
